Nekojima

Nekojima is a wooden dexterity game in which you must balance electrical poles while respecting their designated positions without any cables touching. In a competitive mode, the player who makes the structure fall has lost. In a cooperative mode, the goal is to go as far as possible.In Nekojima, Japan's "Cat Island", a power grid is being developed to supply the island's lively districts. The installation of electricity poles is complicated by the narrowness of the territory and its curious cat population.Nekojima is an original wooden game of skill and balance, in which you have to deftly manipulate elements called Denchuu (electric poles) with both hands. During the game, the Denchuu are placed on the board and stacked on top of each other, adding dimension and height to the game. Observation and dexterity are required to place the Denchuu, and players hold their breath to avoid toppling the structure. You can choose between cooperative or competitive play. An easy-to-pick-up game, with a progressive difficulty level, it's just as suitable for a child learning about balance as it is for an expert in dexterity. The different game variants (Expert, Skyscraper, Urban Jungle and Duo) innovate the ways in which Nekojima is played, and add an extra level of difficulty.
